Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bermuda Bay Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Terracotta Tile Cardstock
- 3" x 5-1/8" of multicolored sprinkles on white background design from Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 5-1/8" of thin, multicolored stripes on white background design from Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical strip
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 5/8" x 2-3/4" from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 1/4" x 3-1/4" of diagonal dark and light purple stripes design from Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper
Adhere the large sprinkles Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper rectangle to the large Terracotta Tile rectangle so there is about 1/16" inch of orange showing on the top, right, and bottom edges.
Adhere the stripes Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper rectangle to the large Terracotta Tile rectangle so there is about 1/16" inch of orange showing on the top, left, and bottom edges. It will overlap the left edge of the sprinkles designer paper a bit.
Adhere the Terracotta Tile/designer papers rectangle to the front of the Bermuda Bay card.
Mount the "News Flash" sentiment from the Approaching Perfection Set on Block C. Use the side of the brush tip of the Old Olive Marker to ink up only the words "News Flash" in the block. Use the side of the brush tip of the Blackberry Bliss Marker to ink up the rest of the sentiment. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it on the vertical white rectangle so it is centered side to side and very close to the bottom.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies that cuts out a 1-7/8" x 3-1/8" rectangle. Place the die on top of the sentiment stamped white rectangle on the platform of your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment side to side with the sentiment as close to the bottom edge as possible. Run through the machine.
Mount the set of candles image from the Approaching Perfection Set on Block B. Ink up the sparkle flames at the top of the candles and one of the candles using the brush tip of the Bumblebee Marker. Ink up the rest of the candles using the brush tips of the Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay, Terracotta Tile, and Old Olive Markers. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it on the top of the sentiment rectangle cut out as close to the top as possible and centered side to side.
Adhere the stamped sentiment/candles rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the striped designer paper strip a bit and is about 3/4" from the bottom of the card.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Bumblebee strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other short edge. Leave the punch unlocked.
Adhere the punched Bumblebee banner strip to the front of the card so it is centered over the sentiment/candles rectangle cut out between the "News Flash" block and the bottoms of the candles. It's okay if it covers the bottoms of the candles a bit.
Slide one short edge of the purple diagonal stripes designer paper strip into the right side of the unlocked Banners Pick A Punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other short edge.
Use Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the punched designer paper banner strip to the front of the card so it is centered over the Bumblebee banner strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large Crushed Curry dot, a medium Coastal Cabana dot, and a small Purple Posy dot from a sheet of Playing With Patterns Resin Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the upper right corner of the card front in a rough triangle.
