P retty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, Adhesive Sheets, and specialty paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/2" from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" of red plaid design from Peaceful Prints 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 4" square from Garden Green Cardstock
- 3-7/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 3" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" from Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
Adhere the piece of Peaceful Prints Designer Paper to the bottom of the Cherry Cobbler vertical rectangle so there is about 1/8" of Cherry Cobbler showing on the bottom, left, and right edges.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2" Metallic Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the Cherry Cobbler/designer paper rectangle so it just covers the top seam between the two pieces. Flip the designer paper over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add more adhesive to the back of the Cherry Cobbler rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Garden Green card.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the Garden Green square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, more open pine boughs and pinecones die from the Christmas Pinecone Dies. Put it on top of the Garden Green square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Garden Green side is facing up and you are cutting out the top 2/3 of the die with the two pinecones in the upper right and the group of the four pinecones in the center left . Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Make sure the protective backing for the Adhesive Sheet stays in place for now.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut off the grouping of 4 pinecones and the pine bough that sticks up from them on the upper left side. Throw these pieces away.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut off the pine bough that hangs down on the bottom right side. Keep this piece!
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the cut down detailed pine boughs and pinecones piece and adhere it to the top of the Cherry Cobbler/designer paper rectangle with ribbon attached so the pine boughs on the upper left are in the upper left corner and the pine boughs on the lower right overlap the ribbon a bit on the right side.
Pick out the large, solid pinecone die and one of the small, solid pinecone dies from the Christmas Pinecone Dies. Put them on top of the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they both fit without the dies overlapping. Run through the machine.
Adhere the pinecone cut outs over the tops of the pinecones in the Garden Green cut out.
Mount the "May this be a Christmas to remember & cherish" or the "Friends like you make this season special" sentiment from the Christmas To Remember Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square.
Pick out the large label with rounded ends on two sides and flat edges on the other sides die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die with the flat edges on the top and bottom. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the pine bough cut out you cut off the big piece and saved. Adhere it to the front of the card so it curves down from the center of the left side of the sentiment label cut out.
Cut a 4" piece of the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2" Metallic Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card front on the left side of the sentiment label cut out and covers the end of the pine bough cut out.
