Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Foam Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" of white flowers and leaves on black background design from Beautifully Penned 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" of white stripes on black background design from Beautifully Penned 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the horizontal strip
- 1-1/8" x 2-3/8" from Foam Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/4" square of white stripes on black background design from Beautifully Penned 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- scraps of Basic White Cardstock
Insert the large white rectangle into the Star-Crossed Embossing Folder so the stars are in the upper left corner of the vertical rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the Basic Black rectangle.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the layered dry embossed rectangle so it is about 3/8" from the bottom. Flip the rectangle over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add more adhesive to the back of the Basic Black rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
Mount the dancing sheep image from the Counting Sheet Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the dancing sheep image on Block C with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small rectangle of floral Beautifully Penned Designer Paper. Leave the stamp on the block.
Pick out the matching, dancing sheep die from the Sheep Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sheep on the white cardstock on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sheep. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Put the matching, dancing sheep die on top of the stamped sheep on the floral designer paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sheep. Run through the machine.
Place the white sheep cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends do bleed through.
Use the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in the sheep's hooves. Don't worry about coloring the one in the middle of the sheep's body, you will be covering it.
Use the fine tip of the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to draw some long eye lashes on the sheep's eye.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to carefully cut the floral sheep cut out along the lines outlining the sheep's wool. Make sure you cut out the sheep's face and the top of the one leg.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the wool cut out and adhere it to the top of the white sheep cut out so all the lines of the wool match up.
Re-ink the dancing sheep image on Block C with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on a scrap of white cardstock so you get the arm in the middle of the sheep's body and the front ear.
Place the sheep's arm and ear image on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends do bleed through.
Use the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in the hoof on the sheep's arm.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to carefully cut out the sheep's arm and ear.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the arm and ear cut outs and adhere them in place over the arm and ear on the floral wool/white sheep cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the floral wool sheep cut out to the front of the card so it is on the right side and the bottom hoof just touches the top of the ribbon.
Pick out the pennant die from the Sheep Dies. Put it on top of the small square of striped Beautifully Penned Designer Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the stripes will run vertically down the pennant. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tip on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the pennant cut out to the front of the card so the end of the stick is under the end of the upraised hoof on the sheep cut out.
Peel the protective backing off of the Foam Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Foam Adhesive Sheets rectangle to the back side (the non-striped side) of the striped Beautifully Penned Designer Paper rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the "W" die and the two "E" dies from the Playful Alphabet Dies. Put them on top of the designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the striped side is facing up. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tip on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed. Make sure the protective backings for the Foam Adhesive Sheets stay in place for now.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the letters on the card front at a slight angle in the upper left corner so they spell the word "ewe." When happy with the placement and spacing, carefully adhere the letters in place one at a time by peeling off the protective backings on the backs of the letters.
Mount the "be who you were born to be" sentiment from the In Your Words Set on Block B. Ink up ONLY the script word "Be" on the bottom of the sentiment using the side of the brush tip of the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it on a scrap of white cardstock.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the script word "Be" by hand so the edges are slightly angled.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the "Be" word cut out to the front of the card so it is slightly angled and centered over the letter "W" cut out.
Cut an 3" piece of the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front on the left side. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
