Project Recipe
Card Base:
Cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock 8 ½" X 11" paper in half lengthwise. You now have two pieces of paper that are 4-1/4"X 11". Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼" X 5 ½".
Then layer a piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock cut at 4-1/8"x 5-3/8" onto the White layer adhere with your favorite adhesive. You then layer a piece of designer series paper cut at 4"x 5-1/4" again adhere this with your favorite adhesive.
Cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo Paper 3"x4". You then embossed a piece of vellum cut at 2-7/8"x3-7/8 with the Scripty 3D Embossing folder. You should adhere the vellum using multipurpose glue but only put it behind the area that the layering square so that the adhesive does not show thru the vellum.
For the Layering Square, you would use the 2-1/2"x2-1/2" scalloped square. I flicked the layer with Champagne Mist Shimmer paint and Flirty Flamingo ink that you would mix with the Champagne mist shimmer paint also to give you a different look. If you are unsure how to flick your cardstock be sure to jump over to my YouTube channel and watch the video I have on how to do this technique. Be sure to set that aside to dry before you adhere to the card, You would hate to do all this and have the shimmer paint smudge. While it is drying cut a piece of Golden Garden designer Specialty Acetate 1"x3-7/8. Again you will want to adhere to this behind the scalloped square so none of the adhesives shows through. You then stamp the flower from the Art Gallery Stamp set in Flirty Flamingo and then in Old Olive. Then fussy cut the Flirty Flamingo Flowers out and adhere it to the Old Olive flower so you get a two-tone flower.
Now that the scalloped square layer is dry pop it up using dimensional foam adhesives. Then add the two-tone flower and a finishing touch of gold enamel dots arranged around the flower. This card would be great for any occasion you have coming up, Just add a quick sentiment that would make it a Wedding Card, Birthday, or even Sympathy. Do not forget to decorate the inside and the envelope.
