I love plaids - OK this card also has an argyle print. Regardless of your favorite print, this is a great masculine birthday card. It is easy to make and a good way to use up those smaller pieces of paper.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Night of Navy 8 ½ X 11 paper in half width wise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Garden Green paper 4 X 5 1/4. Cut Night of Navy 2 1/8 X 4 1/8.
Card Front: Cut plaid paper 3 7/8 X 5 ⅛. Cut Argyle paper 2 X 4. (It doesn’t matter which paper is used where on card. If you have a larger piece of Argyle and smaller piece of plaid, switch them)
Attach plaid paper to green mat, attach these piece to card base.
Attach argyle paper to navy mat, attach these to card front front.
Stamp Happy Birthday on Whisper White paper with Night of Navy ink. Punch out with 1 1/2” circle punch. Punch out 2” circle from Garden Green paper. Attach green circle to card front. Attach birthday greeting circle on green circle with dimensionals.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. Wasn’t that easy? For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
