I used watercolor paper and the stamped image. Then I used the ink pads and water painters to watercolor. You can view my video on YouTube at Craft With Barbara Drake for more information.
Project Recipe
Polished Pink Cardstock for Base cut at 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4". This is a A2 size card.
Basic White cardstock cut 4 x 5-1/4". Use the scallop edge die that comes with the Penned Flowers die set. This die will cut the edge giving it a beautiful scalloped look along with a stitched edge. Once cut, use Painted Texture 3D Embossing folder to emboss the cardstock.
Adhere this piece to the card base with Liquid glue or Stampin Seal.
Stamp the image using the larger stamp with many flowers on it. Use Sahara Sand ink pad and stamp off first then stamp on a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor paper cut at approx 4-1/2 x 4-1/2".
Use your water painters to use ink from ink pads by pushing the ink pad lid onto the lid OR use your clear blocks to put ink from the ink pad onto the blocks. The ink colors I used are: Polished Pink for the flowers, Pear Pizzazz for the leaves, So Saffron for the inside of flowers.
Make sure when changing colors to clean your water painter brush AND that the images you watercolored are completely dry before moving on to another color.
When completely dry and finished you can now die cut the image.
For the 2nd flower, I stamped the smaller image and did the same process as the 1st flower, but I used Daffodil Delight ink pad to watercolor the flower and Old Olive for the leaves. When completely dry, die cut image out.
Adhere both stamped images using liquid glue or Stampin' Seal to the embossed white layer.
For the sentiment - I used Daffodil Delight and the die cut from the Ornate Frames die set. I used the stamped image for the sentiment from Hand-Penned Petals and heat embossed it in Basic Black. I used the Dimensionals on the sentiment to give it a raised look.
For the embellishments - I used the Classic Matte Dots in Black.
