Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and shimmer vellum pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of dark purple holly leaves on light purple background design from Blackberry Beauty 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1/2" x 4" from Gold 12" x 12" Shimmer Vellum
- 1/2" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Mount one of the skinnier sentiments of choice from the Lovely You Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it near the right end of the long, horizontal vanilla strip, leaving a little room to the right to cut the cardstock at an angle.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the right end of the stamped sentiment strip at a sharp angle.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the angle cut stamped vanilla strip on top of the shimmer vellum strip and cut the vellum strip at the same sharp angle on the right side.
Cut a 4" piece of Gold 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the angle cut stamped vanilla strip on top of the shimmer ribbon and cut the ribbon at the same sharp angle on the right side.
Adhere the angle cut vellum strip to the designer paper rectangle so the angle is on the right side and the tip is about 1-3/4" from the right edge of the designer paper. The bottom of the vellum strip should be about 1" from the bottom of the designer paper. Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off excess vellum strip on the left edge if needed.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the bottom edge of the shimmer vellum strip. Remove the protective backing and adhere the angle cut ribbon to the adhesive just below the vellum. The angle should be on the right side and the tip should be equal with the tip of the vellum strip angle.
Fold the loose end of the ribbon over to the back of the designer paper and secure in place with a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Leave the protective backing in place for now.
Adhere the stamped, angle cut vanilla strip to the designer paper rectangle so it overlaps the bottom half of the shimmer vellum strip and the top half of the ribbon. The angle should be on the right and just a little past the tip of the angle of the shimmer vellum and ribbon. Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off excess vanilla strip on the left edge if needed.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape on the back of the designer paper and add Stampin' Seal. Adhere the designer paper to the Blackberry Bliss rectangle and then to the front of the Rich Razzleberry card.
Pick out two large leaves from the Gold Holly Leaves. Adhere them to the front of the card using Mini Glue Dots so they overlap the left end of the sentiment strip a bit as shown.
Mount the small flower image from the Lovely You Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the remaining strip of vanilla cardstock remembering to re-ink the stamp each time. Leave a little space between the flowers so you can cut them out easily. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the small flower image on Block A using the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it once on the remaining strip of vanilla cardstock. Leave a little space between the flowers so you can cut them out easily.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the three stamped flowers by hand.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen and a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the cut out flowers to the front of the card in an overlapping bunch on the left end of the sentiment strip. Be sure to cover the ends of the holly leaves.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large gem from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the upper right corner of the card front.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three small gems from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the cut out flowers.
