Project Recipe
Supplies Needed:
January 2021 Paper Pumpkin Add-On Kit Box
Coordinating Scrap 2” x 3” (I used Stampin’ Up True Love 154281)
Button
3/4” or narrower 6” - 9” length of ribbon
Jewel for center of button (I used Stampin’ Up Opal Rounds 154289)
Sticky Back Velcro (can cut to size as needed)
Cut off the tiny tabs on the left and right side of the box, just the tiny little pieces that stick out on the section that has two folds.
Cut the edge that has the curve in it to leave the flap width to be 1/4”. On this same piece remove the two side flaps.
Glue down the little tabs along the back side of the box, this will become the purse bottom.
Glue down the flap that would be the lid opening flap, this will be the purse front.
Attach the 3” x 1 1/2” piece to the section where you removed the finger pull curve. This will become the purse front flap. Score along the edge where the flap is attached..
Trim along the top edge of the two side flaps (the ones with two folds) as shown.
Fold the two side flaps inward so that the white surface is showing.
Fold back the two flaps on the front of the purse so that the polka dot side is showing.
Adhere the polka dot side to the white side on each side, aligning the bottom edge to make the purse square.
Use a corner rounder to round the two front edges of the purse flap.
Glue the two edges of the ribbon inside the top edge of the purse, coming out the left and right.
Add the Velcro to the underside of the front flap and corresponding front of the purse.
Add the button and the jewel on top of the button on the purse front flap.
