Project Recipe
Prepare these pieces:
Early Espresso card base - 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored in half at 4-1/4"
Crumb Cake - 4" x 5-1/4"
Early Espresso - 2-3/4" x 4"
One Horse Open Sleigh DSP - 2-1/2" wide x 3-3/4" tall
Very Vanilla for inside - 4" x 5-1/4"
Scraps of Vanilla and Early Espresso for die cutting
Navy White Center Specialty Paper - 1-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Fold and burnish card base. Stamp skull in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake and draw dotted lines with Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker. Run through with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. Scrape edges of the cardstock across a crumb cake ink pad and glue onto front.
Stamp ship image in Crumb Cake on Vanilla scrap. Stamp wheel in Pecan Pie on Vanilla. Cut these out with On the Ocean dies. Stamp compass image from He's the Man and cut out with Stylish Shapes circle. Layer this on an Early Espresso circle cut with Give it a Whirl dies. Stamp skull on ship with Early Espresso.
Stamp birds with Misty Moonlight onto DSP. Rip the White Center paper in half longways so you have two pieces 2-1/2" long. Glue the DSP to the Early Espresso layer.
Brush one of the Navy White Center paper with the embossing buddy that comes in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Stamp greeting with Versamark ink and heat emboss with white.
Add these layered on top of the ship.
Place the ship panel, compass and wheel where you like them on the card front. Then glue down the compass and wheel, finally the ship panel on top. Add a Rustic Metallic Dot to the center of the compass.
Don't forget to decorate the inside. I stamped in Early Espresso and Misty Moonlight.
And decorate your envelope.
