T
his card is inspired by Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations.
Card is made with designer series paper as the card base.
Project Recipe
Measurements:
*Designer Series Paper (DSP)- This is your card base (both sides will show) cut at 5 1/2” X 12”, score on the 12” side at 4 1/4”, 7 1/4”, and 10 1/4”
*Focal Whisper White - cut 2 at 3 1/4” X 4 3/4”. Use the frame in Nature’s Thoughts Die set.
*Embossed mat layer - Highland Heather cardstock cut at 2 1/2” X 4”
* Whisper White - stamped images and stitched circles
* Whisper White Card Stock for inside mat - 3 3/4” X 5”
*Garden Green scraps (you can use any green that you like, you will use the ink in this color also)
*
Stamp 5 flowers using Rich Razzleberry Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Notice the picture, I didn’t want white spaces in the flower so colored with Wink of Stella, this gave a nice variation in color.
Stamp 2 branches in Garden Green (or any green you prefer)
Die cut:
*The 2 rectangles using the frame from Nature’s Thoughts Dies from Whisper White Cardstock.
*Die Cut the 5 flowers
*Die cut the stamped leaves
*Die cut several of the small branches (there are 2 sizes), from the Garden Green Cardstock.
*Using the second largest stitched circle, die cut two out of Whisper White Cardstock.
*Stamp the sentiment Love, Prayers, Hugs with Rich Razzleberry Ink on Whisper White cardstock.
*On one of the two smaller white rectangles, stamp the butterfly using Rich Razzleberry Ink in the upper right area and with the garden green ink stamp 2 leaves in the lower left.
*Stamp the butterfly on a post it note or masking paper and cut out. Stamp the butterfly on the lower right quadrant of the inside mat using Rich Razzleberry Ink. Mask it then stamp 3 generations of the fern in the corner, fanning top to bottom. Remove mask and it’ll look like your butterfly is nestled in the leaves.
*Use the corner cut out on the two right corners.
Emboss the Highland Heather piece with the Ornate Garden 3 D Embossing folder.
Now it all comes togehter:
Fold card base (DSP) on score lines. The thinnest section is the front of your card.
The next two sections are the same size these can be adhered or left unattached (I glued mine togehter).
The last section is larger, the last page of your card - attach the inside white mat layer to this section, be sure the corner decoration shows.
Attach a white circle to each doily. Place one of your flowers on each circle, use two small green leaves that you die cut and adhere with glue or tape to the white circle.
*I laid one circle onto the inside mat to determine where to glue it to the center card section.
*Put together the other doily in the same way, glue to the front of the middle section, matching the doily to the one already attached.
Build the focal piece for the front:
*Build the focal piece - lay out the die cut stamped leaves, the die cut cardstock leaves and the 3 flowers. I glued the leaves in place, one flower is glued to the leaves and the other two are attached with dimensionals.
I glued this to the front of the card, overlapping about 1 3/8”. This leaves the remainder of the front hanging over the middle layer.
*Glue the remaining, stamped rectangle to the back of the focal piece.
I cut the sentiment, Love, Prayers, Hugs apart and adhered to the card.
I also cut a few of the strip die out of Rich Razzleberry and put on the inside layer on one of the cards I made. I also added a few to the front of the card.
I cut a few of the butterflies to add onto the card.
