Merry Moose Elegant Tree Swap |
E legant Christmas card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" of large silver pine boughs on white background design from Feels Like Frost 6”x6” Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
Insert the Shaded Spruce rectangle into the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder so the trees will be embossed vertically onto the vertical rectangle. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the strip of Feels Like Frost 6”x6” Specialty Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the dry embossed Shaded Spruce rectangle about 1/4" from the bottom.
Adhere the dry embossed rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Moose Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the larger pine tree image from the Merry Moose Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle slightly closer to the top edge.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 1-7/8" x 3-1/4" from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped tree on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the tree is centered side to side and slightly closer to the top. Run through the tool.
Adhere the tree rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and about 3/4" from the top.
Mount the "Happiest of Holidays" sentiment from the Merry Moose Set on Block G. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Shaded Spruce strip.
Lay the stamped sentiment strip on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 1/2" x 2-1/2" from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped and heat embossed sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the bottom of the tree rectangle cut out and is centered over the top of the designer paper strip as well.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 5 iridescent snowflakes from a sheet of Snowflake Adhesive-Backed Embellishments making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card.
