F un fold Easter card with a belly band using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Seaside Spray Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 6-1/2" and scored at 2-1/4" so you have a skinny vertical flap on the left side of the vertical card
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/4" of lines of gold filigree circles on green background design from Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 9-1/2" of small white daisies and green leaves and tiny orange flowers on yellow background design from Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 2-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Fold the card on the score line.
Adhere the strip of gold filigree circles on green background design Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Paper to the center of the narrow front flap on the left side of the card front.
Mount the corner filigree image from the Ornate Style Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right and lower right corners of the vertical large white rectangle so the open edges are facing the center of the rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Happy Easter, Happy Spring happy, happy everything" sentiment from the Timeless Tulips Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large, vertical white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the inside back flap of the card.
Loosely wrap the long strip of small white daisies on yellow background Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Paper around the center of the closed card to make a belly band. Crease the edges as you wrap the strip around. Make sure the ends of the strip meet in the center of the front of the card. Use small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the ends of the strip together.
Pick out the detailed, floral rectangle die from the Ornate Layers Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 2" x 3-3/8". Put it on top of the Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Mount the single daisy on a stem image from the Ornate Style Set on Block C (it will fit at an angle). Ink up the stem and leaf using the brush tip of the Old Olive Marker. Ink up the flower petals using the brush tip of the Bumblebee Marker. Ink up the center of the daisy using the brush tip of the Terracotta Tile Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the daisy image in the center of the small, vertical white rectangle.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Use the Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color in the leaf on the stamped daisy image.
Use the brush tip of the Terracotta Tile Marker to color in the center of the daisy.
Adhere the stamped and colored daisy rectangle to the center of the detailed, floral rectangle cut out.
Put a couple of small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive vertically across the center of the front of the belly band. Remove the protective backings and adhere the detailed, floral die cut to the belly band.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large gem from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the daisy flower.
Cut a 4" piece of the Fine Art 3/8" Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is centered over the bottom of the stem of the stamped daisy image.
