Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Foil Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Just Jade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 2-5/8" square from Just Jade Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3" of mirrored finish from Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the Just Jade square on the vertical Mint Macaron rectangle so it is about 5/8" from the top, left, and right edges.
Mount the "there is magic in every beginning" sentiment from the In Your Words Host Only Set on Block H. Use the side of the brush tip of the Just Jade Marker to ink up only the words "there is magic." Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it just under the Just Jade square on the Mint Macaron rectangle so it is centered side to side.
Insert the sentiment stamped Mint Macaron rectangle into the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed and stamped Mint Macaron rectangle to the front of the Just Jade card.
Adhere the white square (unstamped) to the center of the Just Jade square and then adhere it to the front of the card just over the sentiment so it is centered side to side.
As you are ready to stamp using the Textures & Frames Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the solid, fuzzy circle image from the Textures & Frames Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the remaining white strip. Re-ink the stamp with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad and stamp it on the other end of the white strip.
Mount the solid, rectangle brushstroke image from the Textures & Frames Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp it across the center of one of the previously stamped circles.
Mount the set of three brushstrokes image from the Textures & Frames Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp it across the center of the other previously stamped circle.
Pick out the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a smooth circle that is 1-3/8" diameter. Put it on top of one of the stamped circles on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the circle is centered in the die. Run through the machine. Repeat with the other stamped circle.
Unlock the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the silver foil strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the more rounded end) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use Paper Snips to cut off the punched end of the silver foil strip so it is about 1" long.
Slide one short edge of the remaining long silver foil strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the more rounded end) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Use Paper Snips to cut off the punched end of the silver foil strip so it is about 1" long.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the punched 1" silver foil pieces to the backs of the circle cut outs as ornament tops. Make sure the stripes on the circles are horizontal when the ornament top is in place.
Use Stampin' Seal to adhere the two ornaments to the center of the white square on the card front so they overlap each other a bit as shown.
LEAVING THE RIBBON ON THE SPOOL, twist the Metallic Mesh Ribbon around to make a skinny rope. Tie a knot in the twisted ribbon rope so about 1-1/2" of ribbon rope sticks out on the loose end. Trim the ribbon knot from the spool using Paper Snips Scissors so both ends of the ribbon on either side of the knot are about 1-1/2" long. Repeat so you have two ribbon knots.
Trim the ends of the ribbon knots again so they are about 2" long in total (about 1" on either side of the knot).
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the ribbon knots to the tops of the ornaments on the card front.
