S mall, hand-stamped boxes to hold a treat made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2-1/2" square from Granny Apple Green Cardstock, scored at 1/2" on all 4 sides
- 2-1/4" x 11" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Fold the square piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock on all 4 sides using the Bone Folder.
Cut along four of the small score lines down to the corner to create little tabs.
Put tiny pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the top side of the tabs.
Remove the protective backings and adhere the tabs to the sides of the box to create the small, open box.
As you are ready to stamp using the Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the larger, more open tulip flower image from the Timeless Tulips Set on Block C. Ink it up with the So Saffron or Mango Melody Ink Pad. BEFORE STAMPING ON THE CARDSTOCK, roll the edges of the inked up stamp across the open Blushing Bride or Melon Mambo Ink Pad to get a little bit of pink on the bottom and edges of the stamp. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white strip near the left edge so the flower is pointing up. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Repeat the step above 5 more times until you have 6 stamped tulips. Leave a little space between each stamped image so you can punch them out. Remember to clean the stamp between each stamped flower image so you don't cross-contaminate your ink pads.
Unlock the Tulip Builder Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped large, open tulip image on the left end of the strip into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Repeat until you have punched out all 6 tulip images. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use a small amount of SNAIL on the bottom of each tulip to adhere them to the sides of the box so the bottoms are about 1/8" from the bottom of the box. Two opposite sides of the box will have two tulips adhered to them so they overlap a bit. The other two opposite sides will only have one tulip adhered to them.
Pick out both bunches of grass dies from the Ladybugs Dies. Put them on top of the small Granny Apple Green rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the tool. Repeat until you have cut out 4 bunches of grass.
Adhere the bunches of grass cut outs to the bottom sides of the box on each side so they overlap the bottoms of the tulips just a tiny bit.
Mount the slightly curved leaf image from the Timeless Tulips Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal white strip near the right edge so the leaf is straight up and down with the bulge on the left side.
Hold the unlocked Tulip Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped slightly curved leaf image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Timeless Tulips Set on Block A. Ink it up wit the Blushing Bride or Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it on the remaining bit of white rectangle so you can punch out the sentiment with the Classic Label Punch in the next step.
Unlock the Classic Label Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area on the right edge of the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the box over one of the sets of two tulips just above the top of the grass bunch. Trim off excess cardstock on the left side.
Adhere the leaf punch out to the front of the box so it overlaps the left side of the sentiment punch out and the top of the grass bunch.
Use the putty tip on the Take Your Pick to pick out a Calypso Coral or So Saffron sequin from the Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack. Press the sequin to a Mini Glue Dot on the roll of glue dots. Adhere the sequin to the front of the box so it is in the angle between the top of the sentiment punch out and the right side of the leaf punch out.
Cut a 16" piece of the So Saffron or Bermuda Bay twine from the Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack.
Fold the twine onto itself 4 times. Tie a half knot in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends. Fray the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine knot to the front of the box so it is in the angle between the bottom of the sentiment punch out and the right side of the leaf punch out.
Drop a small treat into the center of the box and give it away!
