Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/4" from Balmy Blue Blue Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" of white pine boughs on dark green background design from A Walk In The Forest 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4-1/2" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 7" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 7/8" x 6-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
Mount the group of snow sparkles image from the Winter Owls Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it all over the horizontal Balmy Blue rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock.
Adhere the strip of A Walk In The Forest Designer Paper down the center of the vertical, stamped blue rectangle.
Pick out the hollow tree trunk die from the Winter Owls Dies. Put it on top of the large Pecan Pie rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Mount the sitting owl with no feet and his head on the left side image from the Winter Owls Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white strip leaving room to cut it out.
As you are ready to stamp using the Charming Sentiments Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "thank you" sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the white rectangle leaving room to cut everything out.
Pick out the matching sitting owl die from the Winter Owls Dies and the matching "thank you" die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. Put them on top of the stamped image/sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the stamped image/sentiment. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sitting owl cut out to the back of the hollow tree trunk cut out so the owl is peeking through the hole in the trunk.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the long, skinny Pecan Pie strip. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out both detailed, solid branch dies from the Winter Owls Dies. Put them on top of the Pecan Pie strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the brown (Pecan Pie) side is face up. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Mount the bare tree image from the Winter Owls Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it vertically on the horizontal Garden Green rectangle several times so you get the top of the tree at slightly different heights. Let the images overlap a bit. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out along the top edge of the stamped bare tree images.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay all the pieces on the stamped blue rectangle with designer paper attached to figure out spacing and placement. When happy with the arrangement, adhere everything in place by removing the protective backings from the branch cut outs, using Stampin' Seal, and using Dimensionals.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess Garden Green cardstock along the bottom edge as needed.
Adhere the blue rectangle with all pieces attached to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
