HRISTMAS COOKIES .....
I couldn't wait to use the Apron Builder Framelits Dies for Christmas !! I love every piece of these framelits. I love miniature everything and anything. I don't know why .. perhaps it started as a child when I read the story 'The Littles'. What a fun book.
Well anyway, the miniatures in this set are completely wonderful .. baking and grilling utensils, a rolling pin, scissors and the apron ... oh my !!! So many elements, you can make everything from your Grandmother's apron adorned with pockets and lace to your Dad's grilling gear. You can even make an apron for your favorite seamstress, hairdresser or crafter with those tiny little scissors !! The stamp set is a must have for all of the additional elements.
This piece could easily become a card but I've chosen to use it as a starting point for a Christmas sampler. I've always wanted to make one and so this year I will.
Project Recipe
The most asked question is "how did you make that cute cookie sheet" ?
So the details are: I cut a piece of our galvanized metallic paper into a rectangle 1 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches long, I rounded the corners before scoring just a fraction on all sides.
I used the Tags & Tidings stamp set and framelits die to cut the perfect size gingerbread cookies.
I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of each to raise them a little. To 'frost' them I used a white gel pen and even left a little frosting behind on the spatula laid across the cookie sheet.
The Wood Textures DSP was used for the rolling pin, spoon and spatula and Festive Farmhouse DSP was used everywhere else.
The checked tablecloth is simply Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla card stock cut with the smallest of the Stitched Shapes square.
