G ingham Gala DSP & Daily Punch treat cup!
Project Recipe
Using the Highland Heather gingham DSP punch two daisies per flower for the top of your treat cup.
I used three as the designer of this beauty Cindee Wilkinson had done.
Sponge the edges of each petal with Highland Heather ink and a sponge dauber. Glue them offset from each other to make your flower fuller.
Punch a 2 1/2" circle from Highland Heather for your base.
Arrange your flowers on the punched circle using glue dots and position your flowers so the backs are touching, giving them dimension.
I used the Granny Apple Green paper, also from that DSP paper pack to cut leaves with the Nature's Roots die set. Sponge the edges of the leaves with Granny Apple Green ink.
Glue the leaves under the flowers.
Add dimensionals to the top of the treat cup top and add the decorated circle.
Cut 2 strips of 11 X 1/2" Highland Heather card stock.
One to serve as the trim around the top of the cup and the other to serve as the handle of the basket.
Lightly curve the paper with your bone folder to go smoothly around the cup and give a pretty curve to your handle. I cut about a 1/2 inch off of the length of my handle piece to make the handle a bit closer to the cup.
Attach the handle to the sides of the cup where the paper ribbon doesn't quite meet to cover the tiny gap.
Tie pretty bows from any coordinating ribbon and attach to the handle.
I used the sentiment from Fable Friends and the Stitched Label die to add my greeting to the front of my cup.
